Overview

Analyze market share though the lens of a specific niche by creating a segment in Cobalt and have the data delivered via Data Cloud. Segments are specifically curated sets of ASINs used to analyze a particular market niche. After creating your segment in the Cobalt UI, they will be delivered to your Data Cloud storage location.

Data is partitioned by segment and week/month

Delivery Details

• The delivery pipeline starts at 0:00 UTC on Monday morning - so any segment that exists at that point will be queried and delivered to the customers storage location. A segment created and processed prior to 0:00 UTC Sunday night will be delivered that week. Any segment that is not complete prior to that time will not be delivered until the following week.
• When a segment is deleted in Cobalt, all historical data remains in Data Cloud storage. We do not remove any data, so historical data will remain.
• Pausing a segment does prevent new data from being delivered - this matches the experience in Cobalt.
• Pausing a segment does not affect existing data in Data Cloud - all previous data will remain.
